The Manaslu Circuit Trek is known around the world for being a beautiful trek with a breath taking view of Mount Manaslu which is the 8th highest mountain in the world, it stands at 8163 meters. On this trek you will go through a variety of landscapes, and experience the jaw dropping Himalayan flora and fauna.
Here are 3 reasons why you should do the Manaslu Circuit Trek:
The Views Of The Himalayas
Throughout the Manaslu Circuit Trek you will take in memorable views of Mount Manaslu, Himalchuli and the Annapurna region. All of this combine for an experience full of nature and beauty. Everywhere you turn you will see snow capped mountain views, you will also reach the vantage point know as lanky la pass. The pass is the highest pass of the Manaslu circuit and it is from here where you will get the best views of the whole trek.
The Challenge
Not only will you bask in the beauty of the trek but you will also be challenged too, something that many people heading to Nepal want to get from their trek. The Manaslu Cirsuit Trek is the highest, most challenging circuit in the whole of the Manaslu region.
It’s Not A Busy Circuit
When I go on a trek I don’t want to be constantly passing or waiting for other groups at every turn, that’s why I loved the Manaslu Circuit Trek. The big boys; Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna region are where most people head too, so the Manaslu Circuit trek is ideal for people who want to stay away from the busy, bustling and overcrowded routes. The other thing to note is that because it is less ‘touristy’ you feel like you’re really experiencing culutre and untouched charming villages as you trek. The encounters with locals seem much more genuine than when you do the other treks – this factor was one of the highlights of our trips. It was something that the well traveled trekkers amongst us kept commenting on and they certainly were very happy with it being less busy than other treks they’d been on.
Have you done the Manaslu Circuit Trek? If so, I would love to hear all about your tips, experiences and stories.
