Zap2it: The Greatest TV Characters of the past decade poll

Who are the best TV characters of the past decade? Well, that’s for you to decide.Join Zap2it this summer as we let you pick the best TV Boss, President, Villian, Psychic and more.

Here are the three golden rules of how we decided who was eligible for inclusion.

1. A show may have premiered in the ’90s, but as long as the majority of its run was after January 2000, it’s allowed.

2. OK, fine, a show could have premiered in the ’80s (hello, “The Simpsons”), but then it had better make sure it was on for a majority of the oughts as well.

3. Obviously, a nominated character had to have been on the show on a semi-regular basis during the past 10 years. So, while “ER” is eligible, George Clooney’s Dr. Doug Ross sadly is not.

‘Lost’ finale preview: ‘Must List Live!’ asks the big question — Kate or Juliet?

Were you as bummed as we were when Kate hopped in the sub with Sawyer and Juliet? Jessica Shaw and I discuss the love triangle and more as we preview the big Lost season finale. And here’s a challenge to all you experts: Think you can identify an episode of Lost after seeing only a second or two? If you can name all the episodes in our special Lost video montage, then you could win free Comic-Con passes, a hotel room, and access to our exclusive Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con party (where people from Lost were hanging out last year!). Happy Thumpday!

As Lost catches one last breath this week before unfurling the final four episodes of Season 5, we thought it a good time to assess the 13 end-of-episode “thumps” served up thus far.

Review below the list of moments that wowed us before the screen went to black, and then vote for the one that slammed you deepest into the sofa (or beanbag chair, if you’ve been appropriately channeling the ’70s).
