Tv guide article : Daniel Dae Kim’s favorite Jin&Sun Moments

In honor of the couple’s deaths, Daniel Dae Kim shares his favorite moments from their love story.

1. “My all-time favorite is the end of Season 1 when he’s saying goodbye to Sun before he embarks on the raft. It represented a 180 from how we first knew Jin as overbearing and domineering.”

2. “The scene where Jin walks into a tent with food and apologizes to Sun for the man that he was. It’s the first time he recognizes and acknowledges the changes he wants to make in his life.”

3. “Their final bittersweet scene [right]. If they had to go, I wanted it to be with each other.”

4. Best Metaphor: As emotionally captivating as Nestor Carbonell’s performance is in Lost‘s mythology-heavy episode, the real highlight is finally getting a clue about the island’s purpose. Using a bottle of wine as his prop, Jacob explains to Ricardo that the wine symbolizes evil (aka, the Man in Black) and that the island is like the cork, keeping it from spreading to the rest of the world. Awesome. Equally impressive: The fact that Ricardo understood the symbolism, given his still-broken English.

8. Best Surprise: On Lost, we learn that con man Sawyer has a different job in the alternate timeline: He’s a cop! A familiar-looking scene, involving a just-bedded hottie and a suitcase full of cash, is actually an LAPD sting op. (Nice touch: His code word is “LaFleur.”)

3. Best Daddy Issues: In Lost‘s alternate universe, Dr. Shephard has a teenaged son, David, who is a piano prodigy. While Jack’s estrangement from David at first recalls his own difficulties with Christian or the tension between Michael and Walt, The Jack-Daddy overcomes his fathering failures simply by telling his son that he loves and is proud of him. (Next question: Who’s David’s mom?)

1. Best Answer: [Deep exhale] What a relief! Thanks, UnLocke, for giving us one of the most satisfying answers we’ve ever gotten from Lost. “The numbers” are a sequence that Jacob assigned to six people from Oceanic 815 — passengers Shephard, Ford, Reyes, Jarrah, Locke and Kwon — who are candidates to replace him as protector of the island. But wait, why those numbers? And why those people? Jin or Sun Kwon? Why isn’t Kate on that list? Protect the island from what? Argh!

2. Most Intriguing Return: Claire is back on Lost, and with her comes a freighter full of unanswered questions: Where has she been for three years? Is she alive or dead? Why does she remind us so much of Danielle Rousseau? And most importantly, is she destined for Danielle’s same sad fate?
