| Monaghan is lost in money talks |
Lardo writes "Dominic Monaghan has spoken out against well-paid Hollywood actors for moaning about co-stars' salaries. The Lost actor, who is dating co-star Evangeline Lily, said that when actors talk about money publicly it causes sticky situations for those involved behind the scenes.
'I don't think it's a good idea for actors to speak out of turn about money,' he said in comments reported by the World Entertainment News Network. 'I think they should let their agents do that because it just muddies the whole issue.' 'Then you have people getting upset that someone spoke instead of doing it through the right channels.' Monaghan got his worldwide break in acting after appearing in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which led to his role on Lost. Both jobs involve ensemble casts where the actors have roughly an equal amount of importance.
'There are 14 actors on Lost so it would just cost more money,' he said. 'I let my agent fight my battles in terms of money and the network.' If the reported rumours are true, however, then Monaghan is unlikely to have much time to ponder co-stars' salaries anyway as weeks of speculation have hinted that he and Lily are busy planning their wedding for early next year.
