Josh / Sawyer is great. Would love to see him in a rom-com with Elizabeth Mitchell. The death scene of Juliet was awesome.

But why is he always playing second fiddle to Jack in the show, though he is the real hero

Josh Holloway is the most awesome actor on the show….
he has had the most variable character to play on show….
while ben has been mostly creepy, Locke mostly a follower, Jack a stubborn leader….charlie, hurley etc doing comic stuff…sayid doing bad ass action..

bt sawyer has done it all….
he is been selfish, as well as charming..lover as well as loner….leader as well as follower…caring as well as jerk, as well as sacrificing, comic as well as sad…he can do action, smooch, sex nd has good luks…what else do u want?? he has played the character with most Facets on the show….
i’ll be keeping a watch on his forthcoming projects after LOST…and i’m gonna watch them all…

he shud become a gud movie star…i liked him in “Whispers”….
i’d love to watch him doing a Buddy Cop show with Miles…hope somebody take notice of their camraderie in ‘recon’…

han solo spinoff will be awesome as well

I have always been amazed at his acting. I do like his wizecracking side. He could take over for the aging Bruce Willis and Harrison Ford in movies where he can do action and be a smart alec. And those dimples!! To say nothing about those kisses! Like when he kissed Kate just before he jumped out of the helicopter, when he was tied to the tree, and in the bear cage. There are so many actresses he could play a omantic comedy with. He was just great in the scene on the dock with Kate when they talk about Juliet. He is just great, period! Light a fire under his agent!

Josh Holloway has continued to deliver believable and captivating performances. His future is his to write. As the character Sawyer allowed himself to open up and grow close, he tranformed into James. Holloway’s performances come off as more genuine than that of some of his show colleagues. James/Sawyer is tough, tender and tenacious. For the character, James/Sawyer, I’d like to see him have a happy ending – reunited with Juliet and hailed as a hero.

I hated Sawyer and Juliet together. It made NO sense. I thought season 5 was “the season of ruining Sawyer”. Hopefully he’ll go back to normal this season.

But you’re right. I don’t know why Holloway hasn’t capitalized on his awesomeness. He’s been doing stellar acting on the show since the very beginning. And NO ONE else looks that good.

Josh really did an amazing job this season, and especially in the finale. However, just to clarify this comment ( “none of the other actors have managed to seriously capitalize on their fame”) – Matthew Fox has a very good movie career, while doing LOST at the same time. When LOST is over he will have more time to invest in his career. So besides Matthew, I think Josh will absolutely do well in the movies. He could take on any role – comedy, romance, drama, action……I mean we’ve seen him do it all, and do it all wonderfully. He definitely has the “leading man” qualities. Given that Damon and Carlton called Season 5 the “Season of Sawyer” I don’t think he will be taking over the main lead from Matthew, given that it’s time to wrap everything up. And since Jack is the one that connects everything, I think Season 6 will be his. It would be really nice to have Jack and Sawyer working side by side, together, for the good for the good of everyone. That is a relationship I’d like to see TPTB develop a bit more before it’s over. (with no Kate and/or Juliet drama involved AT ALL.) They need to get Jack with Kate, have Juliet be alive and come back to James, at the very beginning of Season 6 and not drag that whole debacle on any longer. Then the rest of Season 6 and concentrate on answering all the other questions and cleaning up everyone else’s story. I can’t wait!!!

I really think that both Josh Holloway and Elizabeth Mitchell deserve awards for their acting in the finale especially. I really hope that he gets more movie roles when Lost is done, and I really hope he starts getting some recognition at awards shows.
